The floor is where a room begins.
Our Chunky Loop Wool Rug — handwoven in India from 100% virgin natural wool — does what most rugs only promise. The chunky looped pile is dense and warm. The neutral palette (Ivory, Beige, or Silver) anchors any room without competing with it. And the choice of with or without border lets you decide exactly how it frames your space.
This is not a rug you settle for. It is the one you keep.
What It Feels Like
Walk barefoot across a cheap rug and you feel the floor beneath it. Walk across this one and you feel only wool — thick, looped, slightly springy. The 10mm pile height means every step has cushioning. Natural virgin wool means every fibre is soft rather than scratchy, and gets softer the more it is walked on.
The loop construction creates a surface with visual texture — it catches light from different angles and adds depth to a room in a way flat-weave or tufted rugs simply cannot. It is the texture that makes this rug the visual anchor of whatever room it is placed in.
The neutral palette — Ivory (warm white), Beige (earthy mid-tone), Silver (cool grey) —
is deliberately understated. These are colours that work with everything: white walls,
dark furniture, wood floors, concrete, tile. Pick the tone closest to your room's mood.
Border or No Border — Which One Is Right for You?
This rug is available in two styles, and the difference is visual:
With Border: A defined edge frame gives the rug a more structured, traditional look. Works best in classic, transitional, or farmhouse rooms where definition and framing matter. Also ideal for dining rooms where the rug edge should clearly delineate the space.
Without Border: A clean, seamless edge creates a more contemporary, minimalist look. Works best in Scandinavian, modern, or boho spaces where the room flows freely and a hard edge would feel too rigid.
Both options are available in all three colours (Ivory, Silver, Beige) and all six sizes. If you are unsure which suits your space, send us a photo — we are happy to advise.
Which Size Works for Your Room?
3 ft × 5 ft · Best as an accent rug: beside a chair, in a bathroom, or as a layering piece.
4 ft × 6 ft · Ideal for smaller rooms or front legs of a sofa only. Great in nurseries.
5 ft × 8 ft · Standard for medium rooms. Works under a full or queen bed with rug on
three sides, or in a living room with front sofa legs on the rug.
6 ft × 9 ft · Our most popular size. Fits most standard living rooms and king beds.
8 ft × 10 ft · Large living room standard — all sofa legs on the rug for a pulled-together
look. Also works in open-plan spaces as a zone-defining piece.
9 ft × 12 ft · Statement size for large formal rooms, open-plan areas, and dining rooms
with 8+ seat tables.
Designer rule: leave at least 18 inches of bare floor visible around the rug's edge. This frames the rug and makes the room feel balanced rather than crowded. Need a size that isn't listed? We make custom rugs to any dimension. Message us with your room measurements and we will quote you within 24 hours.

Rooms and Styles This Rug is Made For
Living Room The chunky loop texture adds warmth and visual depth without pattern or colour noise. Works equally in a contemporary sofa-and-coffee-table setup and a layered, maximalist space. Pair with a rug pad to protect hardwood or tile.
Bedroom Dense wool underfoot as a morning landing is a comfort that flat-weave rugs cannot replicate. Position on three sides of the bed, extending at least 18 inches beyond the mattress edge on both sides.
Farmhouse & Rustic Spaces The looped texture, natural tones, and handwoven irregularity are tailor-made for farmhouse interiors. Pairs naturally with shiplap, linen, and reclaimed wood furniture. Scandinavian & Hygge Spaces The Ivory and Silver colourways and the chunky pile are exactly the materials that define hygge — cosy, tactile, warm without being heavy.
Boho & Eclectic Rooms Layer the without-border version under a smaller patterned rug, or use it as the calm neutral foundation beneath colourful furniture and textiles.

Caring for Your Wool Rug — Simpler Than You Think
Vacuum weekly on low suction setting — no beater bar or rotating brush.
Rotate every 3 months so the rug wears evenly across all areas.
Spills: blot immediately with a clean dry cloth. Never rub. Cold water and a small amount of mild wool-safe soap for stubborn marks. Always blot from edge to centre.
Professional cleaning every 2–3 years maintains the pile and extends lifespan significantly.
Do not machine wash. Do not bleach.
Note on shedding: All natural wool rugs shed small fibres for the first few weeks. This is normal and stops on its own. Vacuum regularly during this period and the pile settles. It is a sign of real wool — not a fault.
A rug pad is recommended for all hard floors (wood, tile, concrete). It prevents movement, protects your floor, adds extra cushioning, and significantly extends the rug's life.

Care information
Proper care and maintenance are essential to keep your beautiful rug looking its best for years to come. Here are some expert tips to ensure its longevity:
-
Spot-clean as necessary: If you encounter a small stain or spill, address it promptly. Gently blot the affected area using a moist (not wet) cloth and plain water. Avoid using soap or other cleaning agents, as they may cause fading or damage to the rug's fibers.
-
Vacuum with care: When it comes to regular vacuuming, opt for a suction-only attachment or setting. Avoid using bristle brushes as they can pull and damage the rug's delicate fibers. By vacuuming regularly, you'll help prevent the buildup of dirt and debris that can harm the rug over time.
-
Seek professional help for deeper stains: For larger or deeper stains that are beyond your control, it's best to consult a specialized company with experience in cleaning beautiful rugs. They have the expertise and tools to handle stubborn stains without causing any harm to the rug's appearance.
-
Handle loose yarns carefully: If you notice any loose yarns or snags on the rug's surface, avoid pulling them. Instead, use sharp scissors to carefully clip them to the same level as the pile height. This prevents further damage and keeps your rug looking neat and well-maintained.
-
Rotate the rug regularly: To prevent uneven fading and wear, rotate your rug every three months. This simple step ensures that all areas of the rug receive equal exposure to light and foot traffic, promoting a more balanced aging process and extending its lifespan.
-
Utilize a rug pad: We highly recommend using a rug pad underneath your rug. Not only does it provide extra cushioning and comfort, but it also helps prevent slipping and sliding. Additionally, a rug pad acts as a protective barrier, reducing friction between the rug and the floor, thus prolonging the life of your rug.
By following these care instructions, you'll be able to maintain the beauty and quality of your rug for years to come. Remember, proper maintenance and attention to detail are key to preserving its unique charm and ensuring it remains a stunning centerpiece in your space.
